From sobering supply chain truths to sharp takes on SAF, the aviation industry came together for ISTAT Americas in Phoenix to in March 2025 to share candor, clarity and cautious optimism.

There are various funding sources in the aviation space, each having distinct attributes, ranging from alternative lenders to banks and capital markets. Currently, the industry is experiencing a significant level of liquidity, with an increased number of players, particularly new alternative lenders entering the market.

The ISTAT Appraisers Programs (IAP) turned 40 in 2024. Given how much attention has been paid to ISTAT as a whole reaching this milestone, I thought it would be valuable to look back on the program as well as to look to the future.

ISTAT has selected Jane O’Callaghan as the recipient of the 2025 ISTAT Award. The ISTAT Award was created in 2001 to honor individuals who have made lasting contributions to the aviation industry and is bestowed annually at the ISTAT Americas President’s Gala Dinner. Jetrader recently spoke to O’Callaghan about her journey in aviation leasing, the evolution of the industry and her advice for the next generation.
