As an organization, ISTAT aims to celebrate, support and educate member companies and individuals that work to strengthen their D&I initiatives.
As members of ISTAT, we pledge to actively promote inclusivity and respect for all team members. To achieve this, we will:
- Provide leadership, support and mentorship to all members of the ISTAT community, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds.
- Be intentional about the questions I ask and the details I learn about someone to build a stronger connection and avoid assumptions.
- Include all members in group conversations and ensure everyone has the necessary context to participate.
- Share common interests and values when making introductions to help establish connections and relationships.
- Acknowledge, celebrate and respect cultural differences (including holidays) while making an effort to better understand them.
ISTAT D&I Award
ISTAT awarded the first ISTAT D&I Award in 2023 with the goal to highlight and showcase ISTAT member companies, teams or individuals who are “D&I Champions”; those who are positive role models, advocates, and allies in supporting D&I within the aviation industry.
