Award Information
This award aims to highlight and showcase ISTAT member companies, teams or individuals who exemplify what it means to be “D&I Champions.”
We invite you to nominate those who serve as positive role models, advocates and allies in advancing diversity and inclusion across the aviation industry.
Rather than assessing an organization’s overall D&I maturity, this award highlights specific initiatives with measurable impact — projects that expand opportunity, elevate best practices, encourage collaboration or otherwise drive meaningful progress within their sphere of influence.
By applying for the ISTAT D&I Award, nominees will:
- Showcase the strategies, talent and momentum behind their internal or external initiatives.
- Share insights with the ISTAT community to help continuously elevate D&I outcomes across the industry.
- Demonstrate their commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion within the aviation sector.
The ISTAT D&I Award recipient will be recognized at ISTAT EMEA and provided several opportunities to present and share their insights with the community via ISTAT's variety of content offerings.
Timeline
The 2026 ISTAT D&I award will be presented at ISTAT EMEA with the following nomination timeline:
- Nominations opened 27 January 2026
- Nominations closed 13 March 2026
- Recipient will be notified in May
- Award will be presented at ISTAT EMEA, 13-15 September 2026
Nomination Requirements
- Nominees must be ISTAT members (corporate or individual) in good standing for at least two consecutive years.
- Individuals, teams or organizations are eligible.
- Anyone may submit a nomination with the candidate’s permission. Self-nominations are accepted.
- Submissions must clearly document why the nominee stands out for this distinguished recognition.
Award Determination
ISTAT’s D&I Committee evaluates each nomination and makes recommendations to the ISTAT Board of Directors. The ISTAT Board of Directors then selects the final ISTAT D&I Award recipient.
