ISTAT is proud to recognize PropelHer as the 2026 recipient of the ISTAT D&I Award. Through mentoring, leadership development and community-building initiatives, PropelHer has helped create meaningful pathways for women to grow, lead and succeed across the aviation industry.
What began in 2016 as a small networking initiative has grown into PropelHer, an international community of more than 1,000 professionals spanning aircraft leasing, airlines, manufacturers, airports, MROs and aviation service providers. For its work supporting the advancement of women across the aviation industry, PropelHer was named the recipient of the 2026 ISTAT Diversity & Inclusion Award.
Creating Opportunities for Growth
Founded by six women in aircraft leasing, PropelHer was established to create stronger connections among professionals navigating similar career experiences. As the organization grew, so did its mission, expanding beyond networking to include mentoring, leadership development and industry advocacy.
A key milestone came in 2021 with the launch of PropelHer's mentoring program, which has supported more than 240 mentor-mentee partnerships across more than 110 companies. The initiative provides professionals with trusted guidance, career support and opportunities to broaden their networks.
Building on that success, PropelHer introduced the Altitude Executive Leadership Programme in 2025, helping women prepare for senior leadership roles through coaching, workshops, assessments and peer learning.
Looking Ahead
Over the past decade, PropelHer has created meaningful opportunities for connection, mentorship and professional growth while helping strengthen the pipeline of future aviation leaders.
The 2026 ISTAT Diversity & Inclusion Award recognizes the organization's impact and its continued commitment to fostering an industry where women can build relationships, develop their potential and thrive at every stage of their careers.
